One of the things I miss most about working all the time is that I can't put my son down for a nap. We had this routine. He'd grab his blankie and his stuffed toy and we'd go up to his room. He'd lie down, I'd cover him up, and rub his back and hum softly to him until he fell asleep. It was soothing for both of us.

Because he was sick today and I stayed home with him, I got to do that.
