slow truce in the works. the boy finally apologised. he was too dense to recognize what he did. figures.

friday he stayed home from work so i took my daughter out shoe shopping. she got to pick out her own and try them on in the store. she thought this was the coolest idea since peanabuddersammiches. she got some sparkley pink sneakers and some power puff girls sandals. very snazzy. then we went to the bookstore to pick up the book i had ordered for SO for his birthday that came a day too late. it is the ultimate guide to spiderman with a forward by stan lee and illustrations throughout the book. (tell me i am not a cool wife. i dare you.) i also got him some superman boxers. also got my son some new summer sandals. i find it difficult to find cool little boy shoes. what's up with that? aggravating, considering k has inherited my penchant for nice footwear. so we came home with all the goodies, did a quick wrap job and called SO into the kitchen (he was playing his game of course). he came in and opened it and went. "oh. thanks." and walked out again. FUCCCCCCCK. i totally yelled at him for it and he was like "sorry, no realy i'm sorry i'm just not feeling well and cranky. i love it. really."

i was not convinced.

saturday morning i had to work 7 - 12. then i went shopping. i picked up new bras and underwear for me. purple, red, black. for once i bought myself something without feeling guilt or remorse. so there! also a cool shirt that is deep red with black leopard pattern on it. and thigh high stockings. meow. then i came home to find the house a torrential mess. in a matter of 5 hours the kids had managed to undo all the good cleaning i had been doing all freakin week. and SO let them. bastage. anyhow. i came home and asked SO "black purple or red?" he says "hunh?" i said "just pick a color". he goes "uhhhh...red? what are you going on about?" i said "i want to know what color you want to unwrap later." he says "hunh?" i wink. he was still confused. the boy is not so good with subtlety.

so then i took a bath. and fell asleep in the bath. and woke up to my daughter banging on the bathroom door saying "mommy are you ok in there?" well, at least someone checks up on me. haha! so i get out and get dressed up and come downstairs to find my in-laws standing there. they had come over to give him a card and to give me money for the walk for MS i was doing on sunday. then they left, SO took a quick shower and we took the kids to my parents' home. sat and talked with them a while and then took off for ice cream! i had new york cherry cheese cake ice cream for the first time, it was yum. SO had some sort of sundae called a triple brownie ecstacy. it looked like a big giant toothache to me.

anyhow, yes. went to see the scorpion king (birthday boy's pick). it was cheesy(do not expect oscar material from the rock, you are only deluding yourself if you do). but ok. we went home then and watched the muskateer. which was stupid. i mean the plot was ok, but i wasn't all too thrilled with any of the "acting" (and i use that term liberally). my favorite was porthos (but he always has been). the fight scenes looked like they stole stunts from jackie chan movies.

whatever else was done is between me and him and the gov't spies.

sunday. woke up early. went to the walk for MS. it was a poor turn out this year which was sad to me but also maybe understandable, it was cold as cold could be for the walk. i didn't manage to raise as much as last year, people were stingy. come on! it's for a good cause! it's not like i'm using the pledge money to get a new dress! geez people. anyway. so yes. did the walk then went over to my friend s's house. we just sat around talking for a while, something i haven't done in ages and had sorely missed. she agreed with me about SOeing an ass. so then i went home and had a talk with him and he apologised. then he made supper. then i went to work.

our plumbing in the kitchen is fucked up. we need it fixed soon. our dishes are slowly taking everything over.

that's all for now. wow. that was unusually verbose.
