You know it's bad out there when CITY schools are closed as well as the country ones.... around here closing the schools in town is an act unheard of.

C is incredibly disappointed as it means she's now missed four days of school. two last week because of her pinkeye (guh what a mess that was lemme tell ya) and another day last week because my inlaws kept her home from school due to weather, the school was open but her class was cancelled since her teacher lives out of town and they were understaffed is it was with the weather. And now today. This wouldn't be such a big deal but she only goes every other day. So really she's missed like, a week and a half.

SO is outside as we speak shoveling the front doorstep and then he's going to his parents' to get their snowblower. These are the days I really appreciate living around the corner from them.

Note to JPk: darling there is no way in hell I will be making the trek to Barrie with the way the roads have been the past two weeks... please forgive. I'll be sending money & ordering instructions with L.

I went grocery shopping and it took me 2 hours because we needed everything under the sun and it seems like so did the rest of the city. The store was packed. I felt almost claustrophobic in there. Guh. Hate grocery stores on a Sunday. Now I remember why I never go on the weekends... I also cleaned out my fridge & cupboards. Ohhhh the excitement. Surely you are all jealous and wish to live as spectacular and decadent a life as mine is.

I get to go see my cousin L next weekend, hooray!

My mom has been sick and I don't really want to go into details but needless to say more painful operations are in her future.

Last night we went out to BE & ME's again, I always have fun there because ME & I are on the same wavelength. Also it is nice to know another couple around our age with kids and whatever. Where we live it is like, all the people in our neighborhood have kids our age but they are our parents' age so they more or less ignore us. It sucks sometimes.

The dye is falling out of my hair oh my now what do I do? Dye it again? All answers point to YES but I am waffling. I have dyed it wayyyy too much in the past few months. Time for a break. To hell with the grays that have inevitably been popping up like daisies.

In other news, there is 4 feet of snow all over the damn place here. Please someone take it away because I fucking HATE SNOW.

OK time to go into the kitchen... again... and cook something or other. Bleh.

Neither issue is funny and I have dealt with both. I once went down to a size 7 and for my 5'10" frame I was positively SKELETAL. Never again. Ever.

As mentioned before, I have taken up knitting. I've managed to do quite well, dropping stitches only once (hurrah!) and it is nice. I think I nearly gave my mom an attack when I called her to borrow some knitting needles though. She came right over yesterday and had bought me some, along with some yarn and everything! Both she and Dad are a mix of shocked and pleased about this "progress in the domestic zone" of my brain. heee. Also: have mastered purling. Hurrah!

C was sick all Friday night and Saturday. So needless to say I didn't get much sleep. Come to think of it I didn't get much sleep last night either, going to bed rather late (overtired) and waking up early today to go in to work.

Had more to say but starting to feel cruddy. Bleh.

I got my exam back before Christmas and forgot to post. Final mark = 80%, highest in class. WHOO-AH!

Went over to a friends house last night, they have four little boys so my kids had someone to play with and we all sat and ate and laughed and whatever. We were there a good 6 hours and by midnight I was more than ready to sleep as were the kids.

Interesting that whenever I need sleep the most is when I am least likely to get any.

SO was good enough to let me sleep in this morning though and I am very grateful for that.

I don't make resolutions anymore, but I'm interested to read what all of yours are.
